In this tour through the Baltic states, there will be a chance to explore three colorfulcountries. The first part of the journey will lead trough Lithuania starting from Vilnius,memorable walks in its medieval old town streets – the best way to feel all the angles ofthe history of this city. After of Lithuania's capital, the next stop will be Riga, a festive city,perfect for New Years' celebration. All the city lights and joyful people will create anunforgettable evening and the next days' walk trough a bit lazy first day of a year in Rigawill make it perfect. The third part of the journey will create a balance by getting away a bitinto nature while going to Tallinn there will be an opportunity to observe wild landscapesand forests of Estonia and after that explore medieval and modern parts of the city historycollapsing together.

DAY 1 (SATURDAY): ARRIVAL VILNIUS

Arrival in Vilnius, optional transfer to Hotel ArtisCentrum**** or similar, check-in, welcome meeting.

DAY 2 (SUNDAY): VILNIUS-RIGA

Vilnius is known for its more than 1.200 medievalbuildings and 48 churches. The morning walking tourof the Old Town includes Vilnius Cathedral, GediminasTower, St. Anne’s Church, Old University and the Gatesof Dawn. The afternoon offers an optional excursion toTrakai, the medieval capital of Lithuania, with the wellpreserved Trakai Castle, beautifully located on an islandin Lake Galve. The evening offers an optional Lithuaniandinner at Restaurant Senoji Trobele.

DAY 3 (MONDAY): RIGA

Heading for Riga, the first stop is the Hill of Crosses, oneof the most holy sites of Catholic Lithuania. After crossinginto Latvia, we soon reach the magnificent Rundale Palace,the former summer residence of the Duke of Courland.Following a guided tour of the palace we travel through therolling hills of Southern Latvia to reach Riga late afternoon,check-in at Hotel Radisson Blu Latvija**** or similar.

DAY 4 (TUESDAY): RIGA

Riga, founded in 1201 by the German bishop Albert, isthe largest of the three Baltic capitals and boasts a realkaleidoscope of architectural styles and by the end ofDecember the whole city is preparing for a vibrant NewYear celebration. The walking tour of the Old Town includesRiga Castle, the Dome Cathedral, St. Peter’s Church, theSwedish Gate, the Three Brothers, the Large and SmallGuilds and the Freedom Monument. The afternoon offersan optional tour to Riga Art Nouveau district and a visitto the Art Nouveau Museum. In the evening we enjoy anentertaining and fabulous New Year Gala.

DAY 5 (WEDNESDAY): RIGA

Morning at leisure. Late afternoon offers an optionalexcursion to the Lido Recreational Centre, a largerestaurant and entertainment centre located in the largestwooden log house in Europe and surrounded by a lot ofwinter attractions. We enjoy a traditional Latvian dinnerbefore going back to the hotel.
